This eye-catching Beat Table Lamp was designed for British manufacturing company Tom Dixon by Dixon himself.
The London-based Tom Dixon label was established in 2002 to create furniture, accessories and lighting inspired by the UK's cultural heritage. The eponymous owner built his reputation for creativity during the 1980s, when he designed such classics as the S-Chair for Italian label Cappellini. Since forming his own company, Tom has continued to dazzle the design world with items such as the Wingback chair Mirror Ball, Copper Shade and the Beat Lamp Collection, which was launched in 2014.
Striking in form and flexible in function, the Beat Table Lamp was inspired by cooking pots from India. The lamp features a shade fashioned from brass and a base made of iron sand, that's been cast for rock solid stability. The base also incorporates a dimmer switch for easy control of brightness. A joint in the arm of the lamp allows for effortless positioning of the light beam, making it a great task light. Standing 53cm tall and with a base diameter of 36cm, theBeat Table Lamp makes a stylish and functional addition to any table or desk in the home.
