The Nestor Armchair has been created by Tom Stepp for the brand Mater. Danish architect Stepp favours clean, sculpted lines in his pieces, an inclination derived from his background in architecture and construction management. It shows in the Nestor Armchair he designed for Mater. The chair's name means the most noble. It is so-called because of its designer's dedication to creating a chair that would be exceptionally strong, comfortable and made with great attention to detail. It is shaped to fit the body with a backrest that is curved inwards and hugs the back, wide armrests and a handwoven seat that ensure comfort and a very unique look. The woven seat is made of paper cord or webbing made of black linen or natural hemp. The frame is made of beech or oak in different finishings.
The Nestor Armchair has a width of 57cm, a height of 76cm and a depth of 53cm. It has a seat height of 44cm, an armrest height of 68cm and a backrest height of 76cm. The chair can be ordered with a frame that matches the seat or one that contrasts strikingly. Either way, this chair will look timeless and elegant around a kitchen or dining room table.
