The Gastone Dolly was created by Antonio Citterio and Glen Oliver Löw for the Italian label Kartell.
Launched by Giulio Castelli in 1949 Kartell produces contemporary plastic furnishings and accessories, working in collaboration with talented designers. Antonio Citterio and Glen Oliver Löw both have backgrounds in industrial design and work together from their Milan studio. Citterio won the prestigious Royal Designer for Industry Award in 2008 while Löw is known for his innovative storage solutions.
The elegant lines of the Gastone Dolly make it a useful addition to any room in the home while its lightweight foldable design allows for flexible space-saving storage. The sturdy castors give the trolley easy mobility and the folding mechanism adds an eye-catching, almost filigree, element to its appearance. The Gastone Dolly can be used to hold evening drinks, afternoon tea and light lunches, for extra kitchen storage or as an unusual display unit for ornaments. The frame is constructed from chromed steel and holds two shelves. These are made of tough plastic filled with fibreglass and have a scratch-proof surface. The trolley's dimensions are 67.3 x 69.3 x 61.5 cm, with a folded depth of 23cm.
