Istanbul Floor Lamp

The Istanbul Floor Lamp has been created by Maurizio Peregalli for the brand Zeus. Introduced in 2012, Istanbul is inspired by the Turkish metropolis. Based around a bold steel framework, it uses unfinished steel to create a timeless look that will sit well with contemporary and traditional interior styles.

The Istanbul Floor Lamp has a distinctive barrel-shaped shade which is supported by four slender columns. The shade has a diameter of 35cm and has been made from black phosphatised steel sheet. The surface has not been painted. Instead, the steel is intended to gain a richer texture as it ages, meaning that each Istanbul Lamp is unique. Light is cast downwards, providing a muted source of illumination for spaces around the home.

The Istanbul Floor Lamp measures either 155m or 175cm high, depending on which model is chosen. Both are made solely from a mix of steel plate and tubing, and both have the same shade diameter. The lamp rests on a circular base and comes with a discreet power cable which enables flexible placement, while a dimmer has also been included for additional lighting options. A single halogen tube bulb is required and the appropriate lamp with the E27 socket can be ordered under accessories.
