The Panton Chair New Dimensions has been created by Verner Panton for the brand Vitra. Denmark's Panton is remembered as one of the country's most influential industrial and interior designers of the 20th Century. He left a legacy of innovative, futuristic designs and use of various materials that were at the time experimental, especially vibrantly coloured plastics. The Panton Chair New Dimensions he designed in 1960 is still appreciated and sought after today. It made history as the first all-plastic chair. It is very comfortable, thanks to its use of a cantilever structure and its conformity to the human form. Made of dyed-through polypropylene as intended in the original design, it is made of a single mould, which greatly enhances its durability. Its gracefully curving legs, rather than conventional ones, is a particularly outstanding feature.
The Panton Chair New Dimensions has a width of 50cm, a height of 86cm and a depth of 61cm with a seat height of 44cm. It is suitable for outdoor use but exposure to sunlight should be limited to stop the colour from fading. Available in a variety of colours, this chair adds aplomb, timeless elegance and comfort wherever it is used in homes, commercial settings and public spaces.
