The Eames Plastic Armchair DAR RE White Base has been designed by Charles and Ray Eames for Vitra. It sits within the Vitra Eames plastic chair collection; an extensive and iconic collection of highly functional and instantly recognisable chairs, armchairs and benches made with the distinctive single sheet plastic moulded seat. Today, the collection is updated to feature fresh colours, a height adjustment, different finishes and the use of recycled plastics.

The Eames Plastic Armchair DAR RE White Base uses recycled moulded plastic to create a single-piece shell which is contoured to offer excellent comfort, with gently rounded arms and a shaped back. The base is made from powder-coated steel wire, with plastic feet and felt gliders to protect hard surfaces. The item has a width of 62.5cm, a height of 83cm, a depth of 60cm and a seat height of 43cm. The armrest height is 68cm and the chair weighs 5.19kg.

The newly relaunched collection of Eames Plastic Chairs uses recycled post-consumer waste so that each piece is crafted from at least 50% recycled materials for a sustainable finish. The Eames Plastic Armchair DAR RE White Base is suitable for hard floors and outdoor use.
