The Eames Plastic Armchair DAR RE Chromed Base has been created by Charles & Ray Eames for the brand Vitra. Now an iconic design dating back over 70 years, this chair sits within the Swiss manufacturer's Eames Plastic Chairs Collection. Vitra produces the original chairs with updates such as new colours, the use of recycled plastic and materials tweaks. The resulting chairs are ideal for lounges, living rooms, work areas and commercial spaces.

The Eames Plastic Armchair DAR RE Chromed Base is instantly recognisable for its distinctive plastic-shaped seat, which is curved and slightly reclined to offer comfort to the sitter. The base is made with four flared steel wire legs, reinforced with geometric supports and finished with felt gliders to protect hard floors. The item has a width of 62.5cm, a height of 83cm, a depth of 60cm and a seat height of 43cm. The armrest is 68cm and the weight is 4.48kg.

The Eames Plastic Armchair DAR RE Chromed Base is a sustainable choice thanks to its use of recycled post-consumer waste. This results in tiny flecks of different shades within each chosen colour option. The chair is made from at least 50% recycled materials.
