The Eames Fiberglass Chair DAX White Base was designed by Ray and Charles Eames for the brand Vitra.
Vitra is the official manufacturer of Eames furniture in Europe and the Middle East. This Swiss company was launched in 1950 after the founders discovered the iconic Eames chair in America. Ray and Charles Eames are known around the world for their innovative 20th-century design. In the 50s, they created the first mass-produced range of plastic chairs and the fundamental design is still considered the height of style today.
The Eames Fiberglass Chair DAX White Base is one of the most understated chairs in the collection. Fibreglass is moulded into a curved shape that follows the contours of the human body, offering a supportive and comfortable seat. Specially designed so that the seat is at dining-chair height, the DAX chair is ideal for use with a table, but stylish enough to be placed in a living room, hallway or bedroom. Four simple, tubular steel legs support the seat and the chair is stackable for space-saving storage. The legs of this DAX model have a white powder-coated finish and the seats come in a choice of muted colours.
