The Formakami JH5 Suspension Lamp has been created by Jaime Hayon for the brand &Tradition. With this fusion of Asian lantern design and modern technology, Hayon has sought to create a lamp which banishes the darker side of life. Using age-old rice paper materials and stunning aesthetics, he has produced a pendant which does just that - and one which will enhance anyone's home.
The Formakami JH5 Suspension Lamp has a two part shade which draws attention with a bulbous upper chamber and a lower section which opens up at the base to cast a broad light across nearby areas. The shade has been made from rice paper with an oak band around the middle, has a 70cm diameter and measures 67cm tall. It hangs from a 400cm long cable which can be adjusted as desired.
The use of rice paper in the construction of the Formakami JH5 Suspension Lamp means that the weight is low, at just 1kg. And the two-part composition features a couple of bulbs which work together beautifully to blend direct and indirect lighting. The two recommended halogen bulbs are not supplied with the product, but the appropriate bulbs with the E27 socket can be ordered under accessories if needed.
