The famous HL99 Bauhaus suspension lamp ? The original!
The HL99 light classic of pendant lamps was created as early as 1900 by an unknown designer and is one of the first lights ever, that was designed for the electric light bulb.
This is the original version of the HL99 suspension lamp, that is manufactured by Tecnolumen in Bremen, Germany, and features the following characteristics: The HL99 pendant light is a shapely Bauhaus lamp, that is made up of a chrome-plated pipe length 1 m and a simple opal ball Ø 20, 25, or 30 cm . Thanks to this elegant language of form the HL99 suspensions were used for interior designs by architects like Peter Behrens, Adolf Loos, or Josef Hoffmann.
In the 20s and 30s the HL99 pendant lamp was first mass produced and especially used in schools and offices.
The HL99 suspension lights are available with different dimensions and metal versions, please see the HL99 "product versions" for detailed information. On request the HL99 suspension is also available with a larger diameter.
