The BST Bauhaus Floor Lamp has been created by Gyula Pap for the brand Tecnolumen. Created in 1923, this lamp was an early example of what the Bauhaus school could achieve. Featuring technical innovations and minimalist aesthetics, it has stood the test of time and will be a stylish addition to anyone's living room or bedroom.
The diffuser of the BST Bauhaus Floor Lamp is the most eye-catching feature of the lamp. Consisting of an exposed bulb and a pane of frosted glass, it directs light downwards, creating a muted source of illumination that never overwhelms. The frosted glass disc has been placed around a central column made from nickel plated metal, and the overall effect makes the light disc appear to float in the air.
The BST Bauhaus Floor Lamp has a height of 168cm and the upper disc diameter is 37cm, while the circular base has a diameter of 40cm. A hanging cord is attached to the diffuser, making it easy to engage the bulb whenever required, while a cable attaches the base to mains electricity. The base is also finished with a black lacquer, creating an additional contrast with the plated metal spine, and completing a reproduction that is faithful to Pap's classic original.
