The Ant Side Table has been created by Bodo Sperlein for the brand Schönbuch. London-based industrial designer Sperlein takes a pragmatic, tailored approach to product design. Each one expresses his eye for detail, aesthetics and function. The Ant Side Table checks off all these boxes and more. This three-legged side table has a round top and a distinctive structure. Its top does not sit on the frame as is conventional. Rather, the top is mounted off centre and is lifted from the frame so that it resembles traditional, antique wrought iron firedogs. It is this filigree design and its contours that inspired the name of the table. This bold, unexampled structure has a sculptural silhouette that adds character. The frame is made of solid wood while the table top is made of lacquered MDF with a glass top that can conveniently be removed to clean.
The Ant Side Table has a height of 56cm and a diameter of 45cm. It is a small side table that makes a big style statement. It is available in different shades that can be chosen to blend in or create striking contrast in a room. This unique side table can be used in any room in a house and in commercial spaces like offices and waiting rooms.
