The H 55 Lounge Chair Frame Black was designed by Herbert Hirche for the brand Richard Lampert.

. Superior designs, outstanding craftsmanship and sustainability are the characteristics to be found in each Richard Lampert product. The brand is always aiming to create products on an industrial scale for home and business, without losing individual awareness and identity. Herbert Hirche began his career as a carpenter's apprentice and studied at the prestigious Bauhaus Dessau. He had a great deal of influence over Germany's post-war interior design sector, with his functional designs that often used cubic forms.

Lampert was reading a book about the German designer when he came across Hirche's H 55 Lounge Chair Frame Black. When he discovered that only a few had been made, he reintroduced the design, keeping to its original blueprint. The compact chair exudes a sense of comfort through its ergonomic and organic shape. It consists of a tubular steel frame which supports an upholstered plastic seat. This charming compact chair stands at 79cm high and has a width of 72cm, making it a great size to fit into a snug living room, bedroom or reading corner.
