The Cubism Coffee Table S has been created by Kristian Sofus Hansen & Tommy Hyldahl for the brand NORR 11. It is a piece that is all about celebrating the beauty and timelessness of natural materials. Stone was used for this.

The particular stone that was used for the Cubism Coffee Table S is travertine. Found naturally around mineral springs, its beauty can be compared to the ever-popular marble. It has the same sparkling veins running through the stone that add sparkle and colour. The concept and ideal behind cubism is minimalism. It was achieved in this table by making it a singular piece. Rather than a tabletop and base, it has been sculpted out of a chunk of stone that has been carved into the desired shape. It eliminates the need for joints and fasteners and the unbroken line from top to bottom keeps the table a clean, elegant profile. The underside has been padded with felt which protects the floor and makes it easy to move the table to reposition or clean under it.

The Cubism Coffee Table S has a length of 45cm, a width of 45cm and a height of 37cm. The travertine is untreated. It is therefore best to use coasters and table mats to avoid marking it.
