Tense LED Wall Lamp

The Tense LED Wall Lamp has been created by Panter & Tourron for the brand New Works. Before it is turned on, it is easy to assume that it is a piece of sculpted art. Its architectural shape is the result of the designers' love for experimenting with different forms and creating tension resulting in floaty, airy shapes.

The Tense LED Wall Lamp has a shade made of Tyvek membrane. This is a breathable, non-woven material that is lightweight and long-lasting. It is also 100% recyclable. On the round lamp, the membrane that has been attached to an aluminium powder-coated frame has been pulled inwards around the edges. The pulling forms a crinkled texture that is clearly seen when the lamp is turned on. The lines also form shadows that are seen along when the light comes through the membrane. The space between the metal frame and the membrane hides an inbuilt LED light source. There is also an almost invisible pin switch near the round canopy that attaches the lamp to the wall.

The Tense LED Wall Lamp has a width of 30cm, a height of 44cm and a depth of 11cm. It is dimmable via a trailing edge dimmer. It comes in a selection of colours.
