The Telares Rug 170x240cm has been created by Nani Marquina for the brand nanimarquina. Marquina is a legendary textiles designer and Telares is another masterpiece from her Barcelona-based studio. Named after the Spanish for 'looms' the rug is inspired by traditional Indian and Turkish manufacturing methods and mixes artisan craft with sheer beauty.

The Telares Rug 170x240cm is a rectangular rug measuring 240cm long by 170cm wide. Made from 100% Afghan wool, it has been processed using age-old kilim looms. This creates a pattern of curves and irregular shading, instead of the linear weaves that are associated with standard techniques. And it makes the Telares Rug a visual delight.

The Telares Rug 170x240cm features tassled fringes at either end and the colour of these fringes has been carefully selected to contrast with that of the main surface. Speaking of colour, the rug comes in five different tones, while the production process ensures that each product will be unique. The Telares Rug 170x240cm can be dry cleaned if the need arises, and it can be rolled and folded for storage. The rug weighs 4.9kg, which should be easy to handle, while anti-slip pads have been included. So you can use the rug on slippery floor surfaces safely.
