Product description

The Ceras 2 Rug has been created by Nani Marquina for the brand Nanimarquina. The designer drew inspiration for this design from the colours found in nature. It was a mission she accomplished with aplomb with the Ceras 2 Rug.

Made of pure wool sourced from Afghan, it is soft, warm and strong. This Sustainable Choice rug looks like it is two rugs joined to form a single one. This is because one half of it has stripes in one colour while the other has similar stripes but in a different colour. This rug is woven by hand on a hand-loomed kilim which gives it a flat surface. The warp strands are attached to the loom and they are interwoven with weft strands. These strands are significantly tighter and heavier so they bear the weight of the rug. This type of weaving produces a rug that is light in weight but very strong and long-lasting.

The Ceras 2 Rug is available in a smaller size that has a width of 170cm and a length of 240cm and a larger one that has a width of 200cm and a length of 300cm. It comes in grey and brown.
