Product description

The Ceras 1 Rug has been created by Nani Marquina for the brand Nanimarquina. The design of the rug is inspired by extensive research into colour and its psychological effects. The result is a striped rug with colour combinations that pull the look of a room together beautifully.

The Ceras 1 Rug is a Sustainable Choice product made of pure hand-spun Afghan wool. It has a design where the use of different colour combinations divides it into two different parts. One half has stripes in two different colours and the other half has the same stripes in different colours. The rug is a hand-loomed kilim. This method of weaving gives it a flat surface that is formed by weaving the warp strands that are on the loom over the weft strands. The warp strands are considerably tighter and heavier so they carry the weight of the pattern. Rugs woven this way are lightweight yet they are strong and hardwearing.

The Ceras 1 Rug comes in two sizes. The smaller one has a width of 170cm and a length of 240cm and the larger one has a width of 200cm and a length of 300cm. It is available in grey and brown.
