The Folded Platform Wall Shelf 62cm has been created by Johan Van Hengel for the brand Muuto. Its name and design are inspired by the look of a folded piece of paper. It is wall mounted which makes optimal use of vertical space. This is particularly advantageous for compact rooms.

The Folded Platform Wall Shelf 62cm is made of sheets of steel finished with acrylic powder that gives them colour and a coat that protects them from the elements. They are cut by laser which gives very precise results. The sheets are then folded over each other which creates an intricate design. One side has an open shelf while the other one has a closed one with an opening that provides additional storage space for small items. The shelves come with a pair of hooks and a pair of bolts for mounting them on the wall.

The Folded Platform Wall Shelf 62cm has a width of 62cm, a height of 5.4cm and a depth of 19cm. It is available in a selection of neutral and earthy colours. These and the way the shelves are positioned can be used to create different aesthetic effects. Shelves of the same or contrasting colours can be positioned in a row or vertically on a wall.
