Impossible Wood Garden Chair

The Impossible Wood Garden Chair has been created by Nipa Doshi & Jonathan Levien for the brand Moroso. This aesthetically impressive outdoor chair seeks to achieve the 'impossible' and features shapes that can only be created via modern injection moulding techniques. Using materials in completely new ways, it marries innovation, comfort and creativity in a magical combination.

The Impossible Wood Garden Chair immediately stands out with its arched seat shell and back which curves delicately like a wave as it gathers force. The surface of the shell has been formed into vertical bands which complement its curves and has the appearance of wood, yet is formed from one piece of injection moulded polypropylene. The result is a chair that always starts conversations.

The seat of the Impossible Wood Garden Chair is supported by a four-legged steel base which doesn't interfere with the design while offering excellent strength. The seat itself is positioned at a comfortable height of 43cm and the chair is 75cm high, while it measures 53cm wide and 53cm deep. Weighing 7kg and designed to be completely suitable for stacking, the Impossible Wood Garden Chair also comes in various finishes, including dark black, forest green and a refined clay grey tone.
