Fool’s Paradise Carpet Rectangle

The Fool's Paradise Carpet Rectangle has been created by Marcel Wanders for the brand Moooi Carpets. The award-winning designer who is at the helm of the Moooi brand found a new canvas for his artistic expression when he started designing textiles. This includes carpets and wall art. The Fool's Paradise Carpet Rectangle is an unexpected and intriguing depiction of a dark bouquet of flowers that are dead and decaying. The dark frame around the carpet and flowers that look lifeless lend it a look that is almost ominous.

The graphic image is printed on polyamide. This synthetic textile offers several advantages when it is used for carpets. One is that it mimics natural fabrics like wool very effectively. Others are that it is long-lasting, easy to maintain and it takes dye very well. At the back, the carpet has a backing made of PP textile that is woven. The Fool's Paradise Carpet Rectangle comes in two sizes. The small one has a length of 300cm and a width of 200cm while the larger one has a length of 400cm and a width of 300cm. It comes in red, blue and black.
