Festival Midnight Carpet Round

The Festival Midnight Carpet Round has been created by Edward van Vliet for the brand Moooi Carpets. The name of this carpet is derived from the star shapes on it that resemble fireworks firing into the sky in an explosion of colour. The colour on the background is blue which resembles the look of a dark, midnight sky.

The Festival Midnight Carpet Round achieves its brilliant and distinct look thanks to the use of polyamide. This is a type of synthetic fabric. It is actually the most hard-wearing polyamide making it a great choice for carpets. Apart from its resilience, this fabric is used for carpets because of how well it takes ink. The ink is injected deep into the pile of fabric with pressure that is computer controlled which has the effect of an image that comes out looking lifelike. Additionally, the Chromojet printer that is used in the printing process has the ability to aptly print colours with rich tones and sharp contrasts.

The Festival Midnight Carpet Round is available in two shades. The smaller one has a diameter of 250cm while the bigger one has a diameter of 350cm. It can be used as decorative wall art as well.
