Gomito Wall Lamp

This evocative Gomito Wall Lamp was designed by Elio Martinelli for the Italian label Martinelli Luce.

Martinelli Luce was founded in 1950 in the Tuscan town of Lucca, and initially focused on designing distinctive lamps for commercial customers. The firm expanded into home lighting solutions, and a succession of outstanding lamps emerged. These include the Bolla, Cobra, Foglia, Elica and Serpente and Il Pipistrello. The latter was designed by Gae Aulenti in 1965 and remains the firm's most iconic creation.

With its curved form protruding from the wall, theGomito Wall Lamp creates the impression that the wall itself is the light source and the lamp itself is just the shade. The lamp directs the light to reflect off the walls to create a relaxing ambiance for any space. Fashioned from sturdy metal, the lamp is finished in neutral white for an overall subtle minimalism that fits beautifully into modern rooms.
