Nimrod Chair

The Nimrod Chair was created for the Italian label Magis by the talented Marc Newson.

The design label was founded in 1976 by Eugenio Perazza in Venice. Magis offers designers autonomy by giving them room for innovation and imagination that is beyond the mainstream. They tap into the pure energy and courage of the youth to form unusual, often whimsical everyday objects. The label often uses plastics in their designs so the furniture is weather-resistant, light-weight and suitable for the outdoors - on balconies, terraces, or in gardens.

Nimrod Chair has an eye-catching design with appealing curves and a bold form. The contemporary space-age style feature the simple lines of an injection-moulded polyethylene frame, giving it a 1970s feel. The removable cushions are made from polyurethane and are covered in wool fabric, making them easy to care for. The cushions come in a range of colours, providing a bold addition to the streamed lined chair. This low-profile striking chair would accent any living room, waiting room, reception, or restaurant. The chair measures 86 x 62 cm, with a back height of 81 cm and seat height of 40 cm.
