The splendid Matrix Otto Suspension Lamp was designed by Yaacov Kaufman for top Italian lighting design company Lumina.
Since 1973, Tommaso Cimini has been designing and producing technically innovative and beautifully crafted specialist lamps. Today, the company is managed by his sons Andrea and Ettore, who carry on the family tradition of designing top-of-the-range quality lighting for the home and public spaces such as offices and hotels. Distributed internationally, their classic lighting designs have been exhibited in many world-class museums and art galleries. To great acclaim, the award-winning Israeli designer Yaacov Kaufman has created this wonderful range of lamps with the company.
The Matrix Otto Suspension Lamp has eight independently and easily adjustable arms; they can move upwards and downwards, allowing for endless possibilities of lighting. It's constructed from nickel-plated aluminium and stainless steel rods, with a diameter of 82cm. The clearly visible bulbs determine the final characteristic feature of this ceiling pendant light. Choosing different types of bulb can transform the atmosphere created, whether its low power bulbs for a warm cosy effect or higher power halogen bulbs for bright illumination, hence its flexible suitability for hotel foyers, art galleries, work spaces and, of course, in the contemporary home.
