Product description

The Amisol LED Suspension Lamp was designed by Daniel Rybakken for the Luceplan label. With its clever use of reflective elements and its intriguing construction, this original lighting product will suit anything from open-plan kitchens to living rooms.

From the new crop of Norwegian talent, Rybakken was born in 1984 and has really made his mark quickly. Working out of Oslo, he has gathered numerous Red Dot Awards and was honoured with a Design Report Award in Milan in 2009. His focus falls mainly on larger lighting and interior elements, which reflects his background in office design. But pieces like the Amisol LED Suspension Lamp have crossover appeal from all kinds of past projects.

Introduced in 2017, the Amisol collection is designed to make an impact in larger spaces. Rybakken opted to use a thin metal membrane stretched within an aluminium frame and with supporting wires to connect the light source to the reflecting disc, and the effect created is spectacular. Each Amisol light comes with a 300cm cord, while the reflecting disc measures either 110cm or 75cm in diameter. In both cases, the lamp is very lightweight at 3kg and 2.5kg respectively.
