The beautiful Satellit Suspension Lamp was created by Vilhelm Wohlert for leading design company Louis Poulsen.
Louis Poulsen has been in operation since 1874. Since then, it has claimed its place as one of the most important lighting companies in the world. Its products are internationally recognised and the designs have been shown at exhibitions such as the Euroluce in Milan. The Satellit Suspension Lamp comes from Danish architect Vilhelm Wohlert. As well as his work on furniture and lighting design, he was responsible for helping to create buildings such as the Louisiana Museum of Modern Art. The Satellit Suspension Lamp is a stunning pendant lamp that makes the ideal centrepiece for any room, either residential or commercial. It can be hung low, meaning it would ideal for placement over a dining table. It comprises a blown-glass shade with steel fixings, and the shade is a gently rounded circular lantern shape. It can be used alone or next to several matching shades for a strong illuminating effect and design statement. It comes in two sizes and in varying heights, which can create an asymmetrical effect when placed together. It weighs 4.5kg and takes 1x E27 / 200W bulb.
