The VL Studio 150 Wall Lamp has been created by Vilhelm Lauritzen for the brand Louis Poulsen. Danish architect and industrial designer Lauritzen was a leading light in the Danish Modernist Movement. Created in the 1940s for Copenhagen's 'Radiohuset,' the VL Studio 150 Wall Lamp still has the power to impress.
This gorgeous lamp stands out thanks to the use of contrasting materials for the shade and base. The shade has been crafted from white opal glass, creating an orb of light that shines in all directions. This orb has been encased within a hemispheric base made from either matt black aluminium or brushed brass, and the two elements work together beautifully. The lamp is attached to the wall via a short stem and canopy that matches the casing, while the shade is easy to remove when the light source needs to be changed.
The VL Studio 150 Wall Lamp has a length of 15cm, a width of 15cm and a height of 20.2cm. It comes with a 250cm PVC cable that houses the on/off switch. The lampshade can also be tilted by up to 90 degrees to the right or left, ensuring that diffused, glare-free light can be directed exactly where it is needed.
