Shibui 286 Wall Lamp

The Shibui 286 Wall Lamp has been created by Søren Refsgaard for the brand Le Klint. The Danish brand has created a niche for itself with hand-folded or pleated shades. From a distance, the shade looks like it is made of fabric but it is actually made of plastic. The PVC has been fashioned into evenly sized pleats by hand. The shade is supported by an acrylic frame.

The Shibui 286 Wall Lamp has a round canopy and a short arm that extends from the wall to hold the shade. It has a flattened orb shape. The top of it has a dome shape that is replicated at the bottom in form of an inverted dome. The bottom has a round ring made of aluminium. It is black which makes a striking contrast against the white shade.

The Shibui 286 Wall Lamp has a height of 20cm and a depth of 25cm. Its cable is 180cm long. The cable extends down to the floor and has an on/off switch. The lamp works with an E14 socket. The manufacturer recommends the use of an LED bulb to avoid damaging the shade with heat.
