The Kai S39 Bar Stool Seat Oak with Cushion 54-79cm has been created by Shin Azumi for the brand Lapalma. Working out of his studio, Japanese industrial designer Azumi embodies a design philosophy that seeks to ensure every piece is not only aesthetically pleasing but also optimally functional. His design principles are well illustrated in the Kai S39 Bar Stool Seat Oak with Cushion 54-79cm. In the middle, the backrest has the unexpected detail of a U-shaped crease. It pushes the backrest in from the front and outwards at the back. The shell is made of solid oak that is finished with staining, bleaching or is left unfinished. The stool comes with a cushion that is available for purchase separately. It is upholstered with soft, premium quality leather. The shell sits on a stem made of stainless steel. The stem is anchored by a circular base that is also made of stainless steel. The stool has another detail of a footrest at the front that is arched.

The Kai S39 Bar Stool Seat Oak with Cushion 54-79cm has a width of 37cm, a height of 75cm and a depth of 44cm. It has a seat height that can be adjusted to between 54 and 79cm and is available in different colours.
