The Re-Chair powered by Illy has been created by Antonio Citterio for the brand Kartell. It gets its name from the recycled thermoplastic technopolymer it is made from. It is sourced from uncontaminated waste sourced from industries.
The Re-Chair powered by Illy stands out with its series of curves and lines. The shell and base are one singular piece which is made possible through a manufacturing process known as injection moulding. Its mid-height backrest has a slightly curved upper edge. The sides come down and curve inwards just enough to cradle the back. These edges go in to narrow the backrest and then broaden out to form a wide seat. The inner edges of the seat also draw in and then out again which forms a unique pattern on the seat. The chair has legs that are outspread rather than straight. This serves to make the base more stable and enhances its strength.
The Re-Chair powered by Illy has a width of 50.5cm, a height of 79cm and a depth of 49cm. Its seat height is 44.5cm. It comes in neutral colours. It can be used with a kitchen or dining table or for seating guests in a cafeteria or restaurant.
