The Jolly Table was designed by Paolo Rizzatto for Kartell.
Rizzatto was born in 1941 in Milan and later obtained his degree in architecture from Milan Polytechnic. He works as a freelance designer, architect and interior designer, and continues to hone his craft as an interior lighting designer. He is celebrated as one of the icons of modern design and has been awarded numerous prizes in recognition of his work, including three Compasso d'Oro Awards, the Red Dot Award, a Good Design Award from the Chicago Athenaeum Museum and the Design Plus Ambiente Award.
The Jolly Table is a small and fully transparent piece that lends a stylish and modern vibe to any interior space. With compact dimensions of 40 x 40 x 40 cm, the table works well in rooms in which space is limited, such as studies or as a side table in the living room. The clever design is both cheerful and elegant at once, and is moulded from a single piece of transparent PMMA for an effortless effect. With a durable weather-resistant finish, the table can also be used outside and is ideal for spring and summer picnics. The transparent look unifies and enhances the surrounding space and immediately brightens the mood of any area.
