Founded by Guilio Castelli in 1949, Kartell began creating home furnishings in 1963 and is globally recognised for its creatively styled plastic furnishings. Always aesthetically novel, the work of Patricia Urquiola has achieved recognition in museums and she has been awarded medals by the Spanish government and received the A&W Magazine Designer of the Year Award in 2012.
