The Goodnight LED Lamp with Battery has been created by Philipp Starck for the brand Kartell. The Goodnight LED Lamp with Battery lamp is a creative reinterpretation of traditional candle forms from a postmodern French master.

At first glance, the Goodnight LED Lamp looks like a conventional candlestick, but it is actually a narrow cylinder-shaped diffuser set on a glossy square-shaped base. The diffuser has been made from recycled ABS and polymethyl methacrylate, PMMA, that conceals LEDs inside. The white colour emulates candle wax, while allowing a gentle glow to escape. The lamp is also dimmable to one of three intensity levels, ensuring that it will work well for evening meals and parties alike.

The Goodnight LED Lamp with Battery has a width of 9.7cm, a height of 29cm and a depth of 9.7cm, with a total weight of 0.4kg. The shade can be combined with white, chrome, champagne, copper, titanium or matt titanium bases. The base also comes with a USB plug for charging, and the wireless design makes it extremely portable. Intended for indoor use, the lamp has a maximum battery life of 40 hours, and will be a fine addition to offices, lounges, and even commercial settings.
