The Bulb table lamp that looks like an oversized light bulb is a real classic by Ingo Maurer since 1966.
This is how the idea for this lamp came about: A venetian night in the year of 1965 - the designer is lying on his bed and is staring at the ceiling, from which a single light bulb is shining down on him. He fell so much in love with this naked, simple light bulb that inspired him to create his first lamp - the Bulb.
The designer's thought was that light bulbs have become such an important part of our lives that we should honour it duly.
This extravagant lamp, reduced to its light source, is made of blown crystal glass and a high gloss chromed socket holding a conventional light bulb.
