Kastehelmi Pie Plate

The Kastehelmi Pie Plate was designed by Oiva Toikka for the Finnish label Iittala. The original design of the pie plate is from the year 1964, now the re-edition from 2012 delights all our senses.

The pie plate Kastehelmi by iittala convinced us with its delicate shape and the unusual processing of the glass, of which the pie plate is made. The translation of the Finnish word Kastehelmi means "dewdrop" and that magical phenomenon is exactly what the surface of the beautiful pie plate reminds us of. Designer Oica Toikka loved experiments as much as nature and created an entirely new design for the depiction of droplets. The Kastehelmi Pie Plate by Iittala has a diameter of about 31.5 cm and rests on a little, elegant glass base. With this accessory your cakes, pies, or sweets will look even more delicioius!
