The Tropique Outdoor Dining Chair Frame Black has been created by Mathieu Matégot for the brand Gubi. Initially designed in 1951, the Tropique Outdoor Dining Chair Frame Black captured the optimism and fresh style of post-war design. Intended for outdoor use, the chair brings a touch of the exotic to everyday exterior spaces.

The Tropique Outdoor Dining Chair Frame Black has a wide backrest featuring a graceful curve - one of Matégot's hallmarks. Padded armrests at either side of the seat are slightly raised and curve outwards in a seductive, sensuous form. The seats have been upholstered with Udine, an fabric designed specifically for outdoor situations which has a flat weave and a smooth, nuanced texture. The seat rests on a frame made of stainless steel rods that form sled-style legs with slender footrest bars and subtle curves.

The Tropique Outdoor Dining Chair Frame Black has a width of 71cm, a height of 86cm and a depth of 58cm, with an armrest height of 68.5cm, a backrest height of 28cm and a comfortable seat height of 45cm. The chair weighs 10.2kg and is available in white or beige tones with a pure black frame. Plastic glides are included to ensure stability and protect floor materials.
