The Brick 242 Side Table was created by designer Paola Navone for leading Italian company Gervasoni.
Founded in 1882, Gervasoni designs, develops and manufactures furniture for the domestic and business markets and is still run by members of the founding family. It's philosophy was to design and produce furniture of the highest quality using the finest natural materials. It is a testament to this process that the company is still in business today. Collaborating with leading designers such as Paola Navone, Jasper Startup and Marco Piva, the company has unveiled stylish collections showcasing their experimentation with new materials.
Paola Navone is the artistic director of the company. Trained as an architect, she also designs, teaches and organises events around the world, and in 1983 was awarded the first Osaka International Design Award. The simple Brick 242 Side Table is made from solid Oak, though it is hard to tell just by looking at it. With a slight retro feel, it can be combined with other pieces from the Brick collection. With a height of 49cm, a length of 42cm and a width of 40cm, the Brick 242 Side Table is an unobtrusive and practical decoration.
