The timeless Grand Prix Chair 46.5cm With Wood Frame was created by Arne Jacobsen for the world renowned Danish furniture manufacturer Fritz Hansen.
The Danish carpenter Fritz Hansen established his company in 1872, producing his first steam bent chair in the 1930's. From the early stages he successfully collaborated with outstanding designers to create classic icons of Danish furniture that have stood the test of time. The Grand Prix chair is named after the award it received in 1957 at the great Triennale di Milano International Exhibition where it was given the event's highest design accolade.
This Grand Prix Chair 46.5cm With Wood Frame has become part of the international heritage of innovative furniture design and will look equally stunning in a corporate setting or home environment. The unique Y-shaped backrest, traditional beech plywood base and matching dyed wooden tube legs offer comfortable support. Produced with superior moulded veneer craftsmanship, the additional dimensions are height 80.5cm and seat width 50cm. It comes in a number of stylish finishes to coordinate with your individual interior. Today Hansen and Jacobsen's elegant and original design continues to provide the perfect combination of seat frame and chair back.
