Rituals 1 Table Lamp

The Rituals 1 Table Lamp was designed by Ludovica and Roberta Palomba for the Foscarini brand.

One of a series of lamps and lights in the "Rituals" series, the Rituals 1 Table Lamp is the creation of top designers Ludovica and Roberta Palomba. The Italian duo have created numerous pieces for top interior design brands and have won multiple awards for their creations including the prestigious Compasso d'Oro.

The visual appearance of this stylish table lamp mirrors that of a traditional Japanese lantern made from rice paper and mulberry bark. This intentional effect is achieved by the clever use of frosted, hand-blown glass that is then scored and engraved with thin lines to mimic the look of rice paper as well as help to diffuse the light. The three supporting legs are made of metal that has been varnished to achieve a wood effect and complete the illusion of Japanese origins. With an overall height of 40cm and a diameter of 24cm at the widest point, the Rituals 1 Table Lamp is small enough for use on a side table but also large enough to be employed as a stand-alone floor light.
