The Gregg Grande Suspension Lamp was designed by Ludovica and Roberto Palomba for the brand Foscarini.
Husband and wife team Ludovica and Roberta Palomba founded Palomba Serafini Associati in 1994, and have since guided it to become one of Milan and Italy's premier lighting studios. Known for fusing classic forms and new concepts, the studio has scored some notable successes, working with brands as diverse as Kartell, Zanat and Foscarini, for whom they created the Gregg Grande Suspension Lamp.
Designed to resemble the smooth pebbles found in mountain streams, the Gregg Grande Suspension Lamp has a wonderfully organic feel. It has been made from blown glass, which ensures a muted light, as well as a seductive texture whether the lamp is on or off. The lamp is medium sized, measuring 47 x 40 x 40 cm, and is suspended 340cm from the ceiling - so it should suit larger spaces but can supplement central lighting if needed as well. The lamp weighs 5.6kg and needs a E27 bulb. Illumination is spread in all directions, while the lamp is also externally dimmable as needed.
