Caboche Plus Piccola LED Suspension Lamp

The Caboche Plus Piccola LED Suspension Lamp has been created by Patricia Urquiola and Eliana Gerotto for the brand Foscarini. Caboche is characterised by transparent plastic spheres, creating arrangements which resemble tiaras or pearls. In this case, Piccola is a compact pendant lamp from the series, offering an attractive central light for smaller and medium sized rooms.

The shade of the Caboche Plus Piccola LED Suspension Lamp is made from a series of polycarbonate arches which hold an array of PMMA spheres. The whole design is as transparent as possible, with the spheres appearing to float and any joints are cleverly concealed. Inside the shade, a couple of steel sheets house an LED board which has been specially engineered by Foscarini to generate a rich, even beam. And an aluminium dissipator is also included.

The shade of the Caboche Plus Piccola LED Suspension Lamp measures 31cm in diameter and is 20cm high, while the lamp connects to a 16cm diameter ceiling canopy via three 320cm long steel cables. Rated at IP20 for dust and moisture protection, the lamp weighs 4.8kg. The lamp has a built-in LED light source which cannot be replaced.
