Product description

The Buds 2 LED Suspension Lamp was designed by Rodolpho Dordoni for Foscarini.

Dordoni is an architect and designer whose household items and lighting accessories are among the most famous in Italy. His work has brought success to the Foscarini company, which was founded in Murano, Italy, in 1981. The company combines traditional Venetian craftsmanship for blown glassware with modern materials. It does so successfully in fact, that in 2001 the company won the Compasso d'Oro award, and again in 2014.

The Buds 2 LED Suspension Lamp is made of glass, with an electrical cord that winds, tendril-like, around the slender suspension stem. This tendril reference, together with the bud-like shape of the lamp, derives from the nineteenth-century art nouveau aesthetic. The company has developed this aesthetic into a range of modernistic and beautiful household items.

The Buds 2 LED Suspension Lamp is 42cm in width and 26cm in height, with a diffuser diameter of 26cm. The lamp requires one LED-Globe E27/23W bulb and it is externally dimmable. In the home, the lamp will create a modern accent either on its own or with another suspension or table lamp from the Foscarini collection.
