Product description

The Lightweight Bench has been created by Herman Studio for the brand Form & Refine. The designers were inspired by classic carpentry which they wanted to pay tribute to. It is represented in the piece with traditional joints that position it in between the old and the new because no screws or other hardware is used.

The Lightweight Bench is made of solid European oak harvested in Portugal. It is FSC-certified which marks it as a Sustainable Choice product made with wood sourced from a responsibly managed forest. The oak has been cut into equally sized slats. They are laid on the narrow side rather than the wide one which creates a whole new aesthetic. The spacing between the slats is close in order to provide comfortable sitting. Sturdy slabs go around the length of the table and hold them in place. The base is made up of the same solid oak cut into bars with the decorative detail of half-lap joints.

The Lightweight Bench has a width of 110cm, a height of 45cm and a depth of 29.5cm. It is available in natural, white-pigmented and dark-stained finishes. It can hold a maximum weight of 200kg.
