The 2097/18 Suspension Lamp was designed by Gino Sarfatti for the brand Flos.

Flos was born in 1960 when a furniture factory in Merano decided to create fresh and exciting lighting that blossomed out of existing designs. Gino Sarfatti turned from aeronautical engineering to lighting, a background that always influenced his designs. Among his many prestigious prizes is the Compasso d'Oro.

The 2097/18 Suspension Lamp is part of a family of suspension lights originally created in 1958 but brought up to date with the addition of energy-efficient LED tube bulbs. While based on traditional neoclassical chandeliers, the 2097 range is totally modern in its appeal and works well in living and dining rooms as well as hallways and stairwells. The lamp's central structure is crafted from steel while the arms are made from brass and available in a range of finishes. The ceiling fitting and rose are also made from steel. Each of the 18 arms is finished with a glass diffuser that emits a gentle glow of light. The dimensions of the 2097/18 Suspension Lamp are an overall diameter of 68cm and a depth of 51cm while the cable length is 331cm.
