Sill Commode

The Sill Commode has been created by the in-house studio for the brand ferm LIVING. The cabinet takes its name from the French word 'sillon', which refers to the grooves cut into the surface of the doors. This signature decorative touch creates a rich texture, while the proportions and materials used in this versatile commode make it a great bedroom storage option.

The Sill Commode can function as a compact bedroom wardrobe but will be equally handy for storing bathroom essentials. It stands 110cm high, 70cm wide and 40cm deep, and has a weight of 45kg. All of the exterior elements have been crafted from MDF board, while rounded edges and the grooved surface of the doors add accents which make it a visual delight. All of the MDF used is derived from FSC-certified sources, keeping the environmental impact low.

The interior of the Sill Commode has a pair of shelves and there is ample room for cosmetics, footwear, and accessories. The top of the commode has been raised slightly, creating a shelf for mirrors, audio devices and ornaments, while the MDF frame has also received an attractive cashmere finish. This creates a refined, feminine look that will work well in contemporary interior themes.
