It has been used to mould a backrest that has a straight edge and sides that broaden out to provide support for the armrests. The chair has a sculptural seat that is long with sides that rise up and extend outwards, going slightly beyond the backrest. These extensions form the armrests. This unexampled shell is supported by a frame made of die-cast aluminium. It has a round, sturdy stem underneath the seat that has a gas pressure spring. It makes it possible to adjust the height of the chair. The stem branches out into five legs that form a star shape. Each one has a pair of double castors.
