The Altorfer Model 1139 Lounge Garden Chair has been created by Huldreich Altorfer for the brand Embru. The brand, which has been in existence for over 100 years, completes all its production in Switzerland to guarantee the best quality. The brand produces furniture and soft furnishings for homes, schools, commercial offices and health care institutions. Though the pieces were created decades ago, many like the 1948 Altorfer Model 1139 Lounge Garden Chair are still in demand today. This lounge chair is set low. It has a wide backrest and a well-sized seat. Its frame is made of hot-dip galvanised steel tubes. PVC cables are wrapped tightly around the frame to form a firm seat and backrest. A bar above the backrest can hold a head pillow to lie back against.

The Altorfer Model 1139 Lounge Garden Chair has a length of 58cm, a width of 81cm and a height of 80cm. It has a seat height of 30 cm. It comes in a broad range of colours including wine red, graphite black, traffic white, traffic red, dusky pink, light green, ash grey, light blue, traffic yellow, grey blue and pine green. Outspread back legs make it possible to stack the chair.
