Britt Bonnesen was born in 1971 and grew up in her father's glass factory.
She is self-taught designer and part of Normann Copenhagen.
Britt conceived the idea of the rocking glass after watching an old film about propeller aircraft. These antique aircraft produced a lot of vibration, so the glasses and tableware used on board were designed not to spill - and that's how the idea of the rocking glass arose. Besides the fact that its rocking function is fun and sometimes practical, the rocking glass is also a sensuous experience.
