The elegant Bell Side Table Brass Marble was created by Sebastian Herkner for the German design company ClassiCon.
Known for its modern interpretation of classic designs, the ethos behind ClassiCon is the creation of pieces that will become keepsakes for future generations. The Bell Side Table Brass Marble perfectly encapsulates Sebastian Herkner's focus on combining colour with new technology and traditional craftsmanship, and illustrates why Maison&Objet elected him 2019 "Designer of the Year".
Made from marble, metal and hand-blown glass, the contrast between the seemingly fragile glass base and the marble-topped metal table is one of the piece's chief attractions. So, too, are the charming bubbles in the glass, which highlight the unique nature of each of these tables. Measuring 53cm in height and with a table-top diameter of 50cm, this is a neatly-sized piece capable of slotting into most spaces. However, it is at its best when positioned where it can act as a showcase for a piece of artwork or a glass, book or similar item. Its semi-translucent base and polished top also makes it ideal for injecting a sense of light into smaller rooms.
